It was a fun night. Got in the blind around 7 PM. Quiet (except for wind) until 8:30 when 2 hogs (one *very* big) ran in and then ran right back out as I was raising my gun. Ugh. Nothing except racoons until 10:30 - started hearing some snorting in the woods - group of 3 decent pigs finally came in about 11. They stayed on the dark side of JJ's red feeder light. Without my green ND3, I couldn't even see their shadows. When I lit em up with the green light, they immediately scattered back into the woods. About 5 minutes later and came back in. We played this little game for 30 minutes before this little 125-pound "razorback" stood still long enough (about 2 seconds) for me to take the shot.

    Thanks Cody.

To narrate that first pic: head shot with exit wound below/behind the right shoulder. He was quartering toward me, head down, when I pulled the trigger. 308 packs a serious punch.

when are you going to get the bow after them!?! I had 7 complete hunts with JJ before I connected with arrow, 5 of the them would have been easy shots with rifle.

A lot of things to consider with the bow - not sure I'm ready to go that route with hogs yet. Definitely a Grayson Co whitetail bow hunt is on my list for this coming fall, though.
